Topic:

Due process for known terrorists, jihadists

My Opinion on the topic:

I think that anyone, regardless of what they have done wrong, is entitled to the due process of the law. They are human beings, and therefore should have the right to defend themselves and their actions in th court of law. People would get upset if an "average joe" was put in jail without being able to confront their wittnesses or have a speedy and public trial, so they shouldn't complain that the court is just being fair and is giving due process of law to everyone.

The Court's Opinion:

The Supreme Court has ruled several times that if a person is suspected of being a terrorist or is known to be one, then they are a danger to the security of the country and not giving them a trial or detaining them immediately is not a violation of the due process clause.

What is it/ Facts:

If a person is accused of being a terrorist, then they can be detained immediately with no trial or anything. Is it right?
